The drama between former couple Chidi and Rayne from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 7 has not ended, even after TLC fired them. Instead, both have taken to social media to expose each other, trying to sway viewers’ opinions on who the real villain in their relationship was.
Rayne has broken her NDA multiple times, criticizing TLC producers for their shady editing practices that she claims make good people look bad and crazy on their reality TV shows. She has also publicly called Chidi a “boy” who uses his disability to gain sympathy from fans and labeled his family as a bunch of Nigerian scammers who only invited her to their home because TLC promised them money. Rayne further claimed that Chidi sold her a dream and was very romantic when they were dating online. However, he changed completely once she visited him in Nigeria, becoming more conservative and hesitant to even touch her.
Aware of Rayne’s taunts against him and his family, Chidi decided to defend himself. In a series of now-deleted Instagram posts with long captions, the Nigerian man explained his side of the story. Chidi stated that he dated Rayne online from 2018 to 2020, after which they broke up and barely talked for three years. Then, out of the blue last summer, Rayne contacted him, asking for another chance because she had been cast on a popular reality TV show and needed him to be her partner. She promised him money if he went along with her storyline and whatever the producers asked them to do.
It’s peculiar that Rayne seems particularly drawn to blind Nigerian men. Her low self-esteem might lead her to believe that a man with a disability from a less fortunate country would never leave her and would treat her like a goddess and savior. She likely thinks he would rely on her for assistance with his disability and financial support, given that people with disabilities in such countries often lack adequate benefits.
